Bike tree christchurch

I’m pretty proud of how much I managed to have cull my packing down to allow for our mountain bike trip to New Zealand bikepacking on Dual Suspension bikes.

Keep in mind; because there was two of us (myself and my boyfriend Hutchy) it does lighten the load since I usually do these sorts of trips myself. Another advantage (although more uncomfortable) was we had camelpak style backpacks for carrying water which did allow us to lighten our bike load. We also didn’t carry a tent but we were stuck with carrying other things you wouldn’t normally require for a bikepacking trip (like Jeans and Noise Cancelling headphones etc) because we weren’t returning to the same city after our trip. We also had to carry all our downhill mtb gear (which we wore) like full face helmets and knee pads.
